Inflation : Where Are Prices Rising?
Both overall inflation and core inflation, which excludes food and energy costs, have been moving higher, but the speed at which prices are rising varies.
Below are some the items that go into the Labor Departments official measure of consumer prices, their 12-month rates of change over the past year, and a look at how January's rates compare with the 12-year average inflation for each item.
