Worst. Congress. Ever.

Le cancer généralisé des démocraties :
la mainmise du pouvoir politique par les groupes d’intérêts

You name it, Congress did it wrong.

Americans have seen a series of disappointments this year from congressional leaders. Washington is so weighed down by political brinkmanship that Americans are losing hope for any meaningful progress to emerge from the U.S. government.

The horrendously handled debt-ceiling debate was the last straw - this may be the worst Congress our nation has ever seen.

A new CBS News/New York Times poll last week revealed that 82% of Americans disapprove of the way Congress is doing its job - the highest disapproval rating since polling began in 1977.

Money Morning readers agree - Congress is no longer working for "the people."

"It is unfortunate that the American people are no longer the "boss" of their elected representatives. Instead, they are controlled by big business and lobbies. And "we, the people" have no control over their pay or compensation."
