Wall Street protests

Two weeks into the protest campaign on Wall Street, activists camped out in lower Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park have been picking up support from celebrities and labour unions.

This week, unions including the New York Transit Workers Union, the United Federation of Teachers, Workers United and Service Employees International pledged help for the “Occupy Wall Street” campaign and announced plans for a Wall Street march on Wednesday. Similar demonstrations were either planned or under way in San Francisco, Washington and Boston.
